The party aint over!!

Wanda Jackson has a lot going on in the next few weeks/months. Her website is fully updated with all sorts of exciting information. Several of her concerts are already sold out, however if you're unable to see her perform live, you can catch her on The Late Show with David Letterman January 20th and on Conan's show January 25th.

Jan 15 — Nashville, TN @ Grand Ole Opry
Jan 21 — Brooklyn, NY @ Williamsburg Hall Of Music (sold out)
Jan 23 — Los Angeles, CA @ El Rey Theatre (sold out)
Jan 24 — Los Angeles, CA @ El Rey Theatre
Feb 22 — Philadelphia, PA @ World CafĂ© Live
Feb 23 — Boston, MA @ Royale
Feb 24 — New York, New York @ The Bowery Ballroom
Feb 25 — Washington DC @ 9.30 Club
Feb 26 — Dallas, TX @ The Kessler

A 7-inch single of her Amy Winehouse You Know I'm No Good cover is available here. Listen to the song below:

Here are some songs from her upcoming album:

A few years ago she released a tribute LP to Elvis. I'm sure it's pretty rad, but it's 30 bucks. Eep! If you're interested, you can buy it here.

New arrival bin

WANDA JACKSON'S NEW ALBUM, The Party Aint Over, drops at the end of this month on CD and vinyl!! I'm sooooo excited for this one!

The 4-LP Kleenex/Lilliput boxset is up for pre-sale here. It's scheduled to be released in mid-February. The first 50 pre-orders come with a free Kleenex LiLiPUT button and the first 100 pre-orders come with a free Kleenex LiLiPUT promo poster. I'm assuming this is going to be limited edition, so order now!!

THIS should be RAD! Joanie Sommers Complete Warner Bros Singles will be released late next month. If you're not familiar with her, check out the little blurb I did a few months ago.

Funky Frauleins Vol 2 - late 60's, 70's and some 80's German ladies doin' funk, jazz and disco!

Coming in February, Come and Get Me: The Complete Liberty and Imperial Singles Volume 2. A rad Jackie DeShannon compilation CD!

If you like Nico, you may like Bridget St. John. A reissue of her 1969 debut LP will be released later this month.

So he's a murderer... but he's still my (musical) hero. Is that bad? Pre-order Wall of Sound: The Best of Phil Spector here.

Set to be released in a few days, a 3-LP Best of ESG comp!

I couldn't find that much information about this, but in March of this year there will be an 11-CD box set of Aretha Franklin's complete Columbia Records recordings. Whoa.

This looks amazing! I think most people are only familiar with Kiki Dee's 70's career, specifically her duet with Elton John (Don't Go Breaking My Heart) - but don't realize she had a singing career in the early to late 60's. I'm Kiki Dee: The Fontana Years 1963-1968 will be released in early February. Fun, groovy 60's pop! (check it out below)

Miss Jackson (if you’re nasty)

I’m beyond excited to hear that one of my favorite singers of all time (and queen of rock n roll) Wanda Jackson, is recording a new album with Jack White. They have 6 cover songs recorded so far. If you’re familiar with Loretta Lynn’s masterpiece, it’s a sure bet this album will be genius. Sources say Ms. Jackson has done an Amy Winehouse song. Um, yes please!!!
