Shonen Knife in San Diego

Shonen Knife is playing in San Diego on November 2nd with the amazing Shannon and the Clams and my band (Jungle Fever). More info here!

A Benefit Show For Christina Wagner

If you live in San Diego and you read this blog, I urge you to attend a benefit show on October 22 at the Til Two Club. Click here to view the Facebook invite. My band was asked to play and we couldn't say YEAH DUH OF COURSE fast enough. It's to raise money for a local woman who recently was diagnosed with cancer. Her insurance changed during her second cycle of chemotherapy and it's so expensive, she wasn't to complete the second cycle of chemo. She's married with three adorable children. Please tell your friends! RAD bands are playing as well: The Widows, JOY and The Grids (and JF).

Pre-sale now available for new Jungle Fever 7"

I'm soooo so so excited that my band's 2nd 7-inch single is almost out on an Italian label called Surfin'Ki Records!! The pressing is really limited (only 300) so if you're interested, buy it sooner than later. Click this link to purchase.

A few weeks ago we finished recording a handful of songs, so hopefully more records will come out this year (fingers, toes, eyes, etc. crossed).

Here's one of our new songs, CHARLIE DON'T SURF!! (No, not a Clash cover!!)

Jungle Fever does The Eyes

I don't like to post too much about my band, but I'm making the exception because we just finished mixing our new album last night and it sounds amazing!! I wanted to share a sneak peak with you guys!! I figured ya'll might dig it because if you're reading this blog you probably like girl singers and, well, I'm a girl singer. We did a cover of The Eyes Don't Talk To Me. If you aren't familiar with this band, they were one of Charlotte Caffey's (The Go-Go's) first bands. I've always loved this song and Charlotte is a big musical influence of mine. You can listen to the original version of the song here. Now, how do I get a copy of this over to Charlotte for her stamp of approval?! Hmmm...

New site!

I literally cannot figure out how to do anything on Facebook or Myspace anymore, so I have officially given up. I made a new blog/website for Jungle Fever and it will be updated frequently. Check it out here!

Shameless plug

Does anyone read this thing? I doubt it. Anyways, just wanted to tell you about my band, Jungle Fever, and the new (but not mixed or anything) songs we have up on our Myspace page. We recently recorded 9 songs with Mitch Wilson, who is amazing!! We're heading back to the studio in a few weeks to record one more song (a Vaselines cover!) and to mix/master all the songs. Now all we need is a record label or two to put out a 7" and we're all set! Any takers? Hello? Anyone? ::crickets chirping::
