The coolest backing band... ever?


Putting a band together is a pain in the ass, right? Celia Gollin must have been at the right place at the right time when The Stranglers decided to be her backing band for two singles in the late 70's. Sources say that if she tried to promote the records more, she could have possibly been a star, but her shyness got in the way. Her first single's A-side was a cover of Tommy James' "Mony Mony", but in my opinion, her version is kind of weak. I really like the B-side to her second record:
